Remembering

 

      Seniors and school kids don’t Remember 9/11. They didn’t see the towers fall. They didn’t know about the hundreds of people trapped and waiting to be rescued. They didn’t see the First Responders rushing toward those trapped victims at the risk of their own lives. They didn’t feel the anguish of those family members watching their TVs that morning to see if their Loved Ones made it out. Or the horror when the Towers fell and they realized those Loved Ones were not coming home. They didn’t see people in desperation hurling their own bodies out of windows to avoid being burned alive. They didn’t see the second plane hijacked by Islamic Terrorist slam into the other tower. They didn’t see, and we haven’t done a good job of telling them the story. We don’t like to talk about such an unpleasant subject, but we must. We must do a better job, history must not forget. Our kids must not forget even if they didn’t see it themselves.

      The Newspaper Publishers won’t do it. The Fake News Mainstream Media certainly won’t do it. Our Liberal-leaning School Systems won’t do it because the Textbooks will barely have two Paragraphs relating to the horrible story. It is up to we Patriots to tell this story. It’s survival depends on us. Freedom and Liberty are depending on us.
      9/11 was an Act of War against all Americans by Radical Islamic Terrorists, it was an act of War against Christianity and all the Church Stands For. It was an act of War against Freedom, Liberty, Truth, Logic, and all forms of Good and Kindness. It was an Evil act by a False, Godless, Authoritarian Cult claiming to be a Religion. It was Satan Himself who guided Mohammed, made him a pedophile and a creep, and penned this False Religion to deceive mankind.

      It wasn’t other Christians who stole the planes on 9/11, it wasn’t Buddhists, it wasn’t Hindus, it wasn’t Atheists; no, it was all Muslims who hijacked the planes. It was Satan’s Army who attacked us. We must never forget.

       What are we seeking in America today? In our Church? In our Voting Booth? On our computers and our TVs?

      Don't Trust the Evening News, not even your favorite Network or Channel, because what calls itself Journalism today is engaging in Open Warfare against Truth and what is good and wholesome for America. Don't trust a Political Party, not even your Daddy's Party. Politicians who have been in office more than 2 terms are almost always corrupted by bribes from special interests. We have a few notable exceptions here in Arkansas, at least in our National Offices, Cotton, Boozman, and Crawford are 3 of the good guys. But most Politicians no longer have their constituents welfare in mind, just how many more Millions they can reel in from Lobbyists. Republicans are almost, if not just as bad, as are the Democrat Political Thugs. Independents? Well, they just can't make up their minds who to take their payoffs from.
      So many times we cannot trust the voices in our Pulpits any more than our Newscasts. Men purported to be Men of God are Preaching Words for Itching Ears rather than the Pure and Cutting Word of God. We want to hear what sounds good instead of what we really need to hear. Comfort Food for the Soul. An Old Farmer once said, "The old Devil sure knows what you like in your soup." Eve, wanted others to see her like they saw God, so she bit the Forbidden Fruit, and we've been doing the same ever since. As always, it is Satan's oldest trick question, "Yea, hath God Said?" If we don't check the Bible and see for ourselves we will fall for Bad Preaching, Fables, Propaganda, and yes Fake News.
      Hollywood, Network News, The Democrat Party, and Liberals in general want to mislead your every move. They want to create Hunger Pangs within you for Worldly things, not Godly things. Yet only when we crave the things of God will we be satisfied and draw even closer to Him and His will in our lives. The crooked path may be wide and easy, but we need to Open our Bibles and make sure we are on the Narrow Path. Don't just sit on your Pew and believe what you hear, Open your Bible and check it out against God's Word. We have far too many Pew Sitters and not enough Doers of the Word. Be a Doer. Seek God's Will in your Life and Live.

Fighting Clowns and Snowflakes

        Had to block another Liberal Trump Hater this morning. When they are too hardheaded to Learn, blocking is about all you can do. They Defy All Logic, hating the man who is doing so much to better our Country. But what do we expect from these Politically Correct Snowflake Resistors who don't even know if they are boys or girls; want to Legalize Drugs but Outlaw Old Glory and Patriotism. They Welcome MS-13 thugs, ISIS Jihadists, child traffickers, and Welfare-Grabbing Illegals, yet rush to Murder Babies in or even out of the Womb.
Thanks to Trump we have Real Wages Outpacing Minimum Wage Growth, a Booming Stock Market, the Lowest Unemployment Rate in over 50 years with employers fighting to Lure Workers (there aren't enough skilled workers to go around), Inflation is almost non-existent. Other Countries are Respecting us again, and all these Lamebrain Liberals can think about is Bashing the Man that is doing it all.
Fake Polls tell us Trump is behind yet I see people who never talked Politics before flying Trump Banners below their U.S. Flag. Pollsters Oversample Democrats by 10 - 12% to make it look like Trump is behind, all the Evening News, and I mean ALL, is Skewed totally to the Left. Trump is a Loving Man, yet they say he is filled with hate. I have never heard him say a thing I would classify as Hateful or Hate-filled, but there is a constant murmur about him being Hateful. They nit-pick his statements and Tweets finding fault and accusing him of Lying when in the previous Administration under Obama EVERY statement the man made was a Boldface Lie, a Scam. or a Diss of the America we Love. The change from a Lazy, Feckless, America-Hating Obama to Trump has been truly Dramatic and Stunning. Trump is probably the Hardest Working, Most Caring, Patriotic, and America-Loving President in History. Many compare him to Reagan, but I place him right alongside George Washington and Abe Lincoln with a little Teddy Roosevelt thrown in. Thank God for President Trump! Amen!!!

20 Clowns

     

 There are now 20 Clowns in the DNC Race for President. I'll leave it to the reader, as to whether, that is 20 too many or 70 or 80 too few. I wouldn't vote for any of these idiots for Dogcatcher. It just wouldn't be fair to the dogs.
      We have old codgers, old socialists, old Indian squaws, a Young Homosexual, and all kinds of assorted political wantabees. What I fail to see is any sort of talent or vision. They have almost all jumped on this Crazy, Green, New Age, Enviromental Dream Utopia. Never mind there is no Global Warming and the world isn't ending in 12 years unless the Lord decides it is time for His Return; off on this Crazy Scheme/Scam they go. The whole banking system doesn't have enough money to pay for it but never mind; "we have to save the world from carbon".
       Right now the Old Codger, and the Old Socialist are ahead in the Race, with the Young Homosexual not too far behind with the LGBTQXYZ Community cheering him and his husband on. So there you have it. Which Clown can run the fastest and score enough Cash to win the Primary? Glad I don't have a horse in that pitiful race. I am betting all my Chips on 4 more years of Trump Prosperity.

What Else can one say about Dirty Politics

      It is way past time for all America to Stand Back and Take a Look at how so many People and especially the Media have mistreated Our President. I didn't like Obama myself; but for all 8 long years I told the Truth where his actions were concerned, I didn't stoop to rumor and gossip, although there was plenty of that readily available. It was no rumor that Obama was the least experienced President in History. It was no rumor he never had his Indonesian Citizenship reversed and was not even a Legal U.S. Citizen. It was no mere rumor he was a Pot Head and even turned homosexual tricks for Cocaine. It was not rumor he Openly Belonged to a Homosexual Bathhouse Circle that included his Anti-American leaning Pastor and even Eric Holder. It was no rumor he did not have the grades to get into the Colleges and Universities he attended; all these things were why he had his records sealed. He was a very dishonest President, hiding his inexperience and shady past.
      Most of us, myself included, have things in our past we would prefer stay far forgotten in the past. I am sure Trump has any number of embarrassing things himself. But he doesn't deserve ten thousand Pit Bulls digging up his back yard looking for bones that are only malicious gossip and rumor. Reporters never mention the awards he has received from Black groups for instance; No, Trump is wrongly portrayed as a racist. Likewise his acts as a Good Samaritan are never lauded by the press. The only news reported concerning Trump is Negative News, and that I contend is blatantly unfair.

      A Rumor or Malicious Gossip never rises to the level of a News Story deserving coverage. News Outlet after News Outlet has piled on anything relating to Trump like a feral pack of ravenous Pit Bulls instead of practicing honorable Journalism. The attacks on Trump were vicious, they were relentless, and they were deliberate. Whether these idiots have the sense to realize it or not Donald J. Trump is the Duly Elected President of the United States. He is our elected Leader. He deserves our Respect whether we like his Tweets or not.

      Trump will likely be our President for Two Terms. That is Six more years of Make America Great Again, keeping Promises, Creating Jobs in the Private Sector, and Solving Problems. Obstructionists be damned. We have to support Our President.
      The Media needs a crash course in Real Journalism. I studied Journalism under and Old-Time Professor named Tex Plunket. He believed, as do I, that a Story must be more than a Rumor to be reported on. There has to be a Who, a What, a Where, a Why, a When and even a How to a real story. If the Writer cannot define these things the story is not newsworthy. If you cannot report honestly and impartially, don't report. If you can't report fairly and balance or eliminate Politics then you have no business calling yourself a reporter.

      These common courtesies have rarely been extended to Our President. It is time for dozens upon dozens of Media Giants to take stock of themselves and Apologize to Donald J. Trump, and do it Formally and in Bold Type. If they really look critically and honestly at Our President, they will see a Great Man, a Budding Statesman, and I believe History will soon record this man so scorned and abused by the Press as The Greatest American President since Abraham Lincoln. Wake Up America, it is time to smell the Roses of Prosperity. 

More Democrat Insanity

        Unlike Barrack Hussein Obama, who in my Opinion was guilty of Dozens and Dozens of High Crimes and Misdemeanors, our current POTUS Donald J. Trump is pristine and clean where any hint of a crime is concerned. Although Trump has been scrutinized from every angle, with every closet door opened, every crevice investigated from Trump Tower to Mar-a-Lago where critics looked behind every blade of grass and under every piece of gravel in the driveway; not one hint of anything criminal or even collisional has been detected.
       Democrats are going Crazy because they can't even make anything up that will stick. They saw Slick Willy Clinton slide so many times from real troubles, but they didn't think it would be so easy for Donald Trump to sidestep all their Lies and invented collusion innuendos.
       So, when will all the Craziness stop? It's not likely to. Resisting, Crazy stories, Lies, and Propaganda is all the Dims have left in their arsenal. Millennials are the only ones uneducated enough to believe all the Lies. Bless their Hearts; they never had the benefit of an Honest Education, with no Civics, no History and no Economics courses to their credit. They learned how to protest but not how to work hard and prosper.
       No, it's up to Middle-aged and Senior Voters to carry America over until a new Generation of Patriots get enough of Venezuela Style Economics that the Dimwit Democrat Party is pushing us into. I'll have to get in my wheelchair and make it to the voting booth a few more times; correct a few more thousands on Twitter and Facebook; and put up with the Lies of the Leftstream Media a while longer; and continue to support our Duly Elected Donald J. Trump. Semper fi Patriots.

Democrat Insanity

 
      AOC and all the Democrat would-be Presidential Candidates like her are at best Looney, Crazy, Ignorant, and Impetuous. They constantly spew out Crazy talk without the slightest thought of the dire consequences all this Socialist tripe would pile on innocent Americans. They believe we Voters are too Stupid to think and plan for our own lives and futures. Big, Very Big Right-killing Government is their plan for forcing first Socialism and then full-fledged Communism on America. They think Conservatives should just shut up and die. No thought of Free Speech for AOC. She's the Boss. And all the other's are just like her. No thought of Freedom of Religion, Islam or no Religion at all works best for Dems. No Second Amendment Freedoms at all; Patriots with guns to protect their Families get in the way of Socialist/Communist Agendas.

        You may think I am getting carried away, but I assure you Democrats are that Crass and Crazy. They are Greedy Usurpers; Power Grabbers; Bullies of the worst kind. No Dirty Trick is too Nasty when Socialism is the goal. No Lie too blatant. Liberalism is a Mental Disorder and the disease spreads fast among the Ignorant ranks of ANTIFA, Occupy, and even Black Lives Matter. If Black Lives actually Mattered the Democrat Party would be doing something for Blacks, not forcing them into Food Stamp, Welfare, and Free Stuff Slavery. Nothing is Free and especially Democrat Agendas.

We know that the overwhelming majority of weapon-related deaths in this country are linked to mental health issues and the firearms black market. It would rationally follow that Congress should focus any major anti-gun violence efforts into those areas. Instead, Democrats chose to ignore the root cause of the problem and unnecessarily target law-abiding gun owners like you and me. Our founders put it best- “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”



       I swore the same oath when I joined the U.S. Navy. That Oath has no expiration date. I recited it again when I worked for the Census Bureau. In fact I swore in Hundreds of Census Bureau employees and recited that oath dozens and dozens of times. It reminded me that it is a Never Ending Contract to Defend America and our Constitution. Keeping and bearing arms has nothing to do with Deer Hunting. Most people don't realize it also applied to cannons and artillary and most folks sureley don't realize that when those words were penned, the first fully-automatic machine guns had actually been developed.



                                            Border Security

        Securing our borders provides an unparalleled per dollar return on investment in terms of national security and we cannot have true immigration reform without a border wall. It is indeed unfortunate that President Trump has been forced to resort to declaring a national emergency, but Congress has granted the President that very authority through law.

       Most Countries if not all have Border Walls where needed. The Vatican does even though the Pope says they are immoral. Nancy Pelosi has a Wall around her home even though she says walls are Immoral. China built a Wall many Centuries ago. President Trump offer the Democrats all the bells, whistles, Electronic Alarms, and Drones they called for; but these items don't work at all without the Wall. Hand to hand border agents would have to be on duty 24 hours a day without a wall.

        President Trump has rescued our Economy. He has rescued our Black and Hispanic Workers, he has rescued our VA Hospital situation to a large degree. He has almost everything working for the average American Worker. He has made America Great Again.

      That is the textbook definition. Notice that, It doesn't say all racists are white supremacists. That seems to be the Leftist Media definition. Notably that everyone wearing a MAGA Hat is a racist. That notion is a Lie straight from Satan.
      I was never a Racist not even as a kid. I had heard the word Nigger before I was 5, but I didn't know what it meant. I never, ever, thought it meant black, mostly because I had a black Friend. Chuck the Shoeshine man down at Harris's Barber Shop was a terrific friend of mine at five years of age. Chuck would smile, take my quarter, and spend just as much time on my shoes as he did any Banker or Business man. He told me stories, laughed, and treated me just like any other customer. We had a great, fun relationship.
      But I was confused. So what did Nigger mean? One day my Dad parked in front of the Paragould Post Office. We were one parking spot back from the marble steps on 2nd St. I could smell the Marble steps from the back seat of our old coupe. Just then a very young teen black girl went skipping up the steps. I asked my Mom, "Is that a Nigger?" The young girl stopped in her tracks. She had heard my query. She looked our way and I was sure she focused on me in the back seat. I was horrified. So was she. A look of anguish I will never forget came across her face. Tears, real tears, came. Her mouth dropped open and I was sure she was going to scream. She just whimpered and ran up the steps covering her face. She didn't know it but I was feeling just as low, just as bad as she was. I didn't use that word again for almost 20 years, not in a joke, not in any way whatsoever. Any chance of me ever having a racist thought was forever quashed that day in the early 50's.
       So why, if I don't think that way, am I accused of being Racist, just because I am white, or because I wear a red ball cap that says, "make America Great Again"? I am not saying white people are never racist, I just know I am not one of them. And the people, most anyway, that I see wearing MAGA caps are not either. I can't speak for all of them, but the ones I am familiar with are anything but racist. They wear the MAGA hat because they are Certified American Patriots. They are not prejudiced, they are non-discriminatory, and the only antagonistic feelings they have are for Communists, Socialists, Fascists and Looney Leftists.
      Now I may not be a Racist, but I am often a victim of Racism. Not because I am a real threat to anyone of any color, but all because I wear a MAGA hat and support Donald J. Trump, America's Duly Elected President, and frankly the most maligned man in America today. It really is not a white or black thing because I am noticing thousands of Black folks wearing MAGA hats too.
       No, the uninformed people are most often the Racists. A real Racist, President Lyndon Johnson said of the Voting Rights Act he signed, "I'll have those Niggers eating out of Democrats hands for decades". Not one Democrat had voted for the Voting Rights Act, every one of them had opposed it, Only Republicans voted for it; but Democrats took the credit and sure enough Blacks for the most part have supported the Democrat Party, the same party that started the KKK, ever since. They have bought into the Democrat Propaganda Machine ever since too. For every white supremacist, (of which there are far too many), there are dozens if not hundreds of black folks just as racially severe. Just like the white supremacist doesn't trust, and often hates blacks, there are blacks who don't trust and often hate whites. Not because they know what they believe to be true, but simply because they have been taught that is what they ought to believe. (true of all racists whether black or white).
      It is all to easy to be a Bigot. We all tend to believe we know better that those around us. We seldom really do. When we allow ourselves to feel more important than others we are guilty of pride. We can't Love others like ourselves as we are commanded in the Bible if we harbor pride in ourselves. That is not the sacrificial Love of a Christian heart. Black or White we have to Love our fellow man. Our hearts, our brains, and our souls are all the same color, no matter what hat we wear.

The Theft of America's Soul by Phil Robertson

Next to the Bible I can think of no book more needed and pertinent to Today's America. I had no idea of this man's Love for his fellow man or his dedication to Preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus. I didn't know he shared my passion for Jail Ministry, I had no idea of the many people he had Baptized in ponds and ditches. This booked brightened my Faith in God's Saving abilities and it gave me new Hope for the America I Love. To all my friends: You must read this fine book. To all those in despair no matter what the cause: You must read this book. To all those Christians who have given up on the world: You must read this book. Thank You Phil Robertson for saying exactly what America needs to hear for such a time as this. For Saving some with compassion and for pulling others out of the fire, hating even the garment stained with the sin of this world. Thank you Sir.

The Many Woes of Socialism

       The European Union it falling apart. Everywhere Socialism has reared its Ugly Head economies are failing. It also adversely affects the United States Economy. European Countries are not buying American Made Cars. Socialism is an insane concept that will never work. Unfortunately Liberalism is a Mental Disorder that enables one insane idea after another. Liberals have no trouble coming up with new insane ideas. In the U.S. the newest insanity is to Tax the Rain.

       Now God has said it would Rain on the Just and the Unjust. But even in Noah's Day He provided the Rain for Free. Only a Modern Day Liberal would be foolish enough to Tax air and water, but there they are racing to do these unthinkably crazy things. The Socialist Dictator in Venezuela is turning down free food and medical supplies for a starving population. 

       Why on earth do people fall for such nonsense? In America the blame has to be placed on our Educational System. We quit teaching our kids Civics and History. A shady car salesman can make an old rusty, smoking, Model T sound like a good trade if you don't know anything about cars. And fast talking, greedy, politicians are making Socialism sound good to students who have never heard of Stalin or Pow Pot. (Kids today would think that is something to smoke).

       Disciples of Our Second Amendment know that there is no difference between Hard Core Communists like Stalin and Modern American Socialists except for the Second Amendment and the millions of guns owned by American Patriots. Hitler and Stalin had no real power until most of the guns were confiscated. But our School Children have never seen the photos of innocent people being led to ditches and getting their brains blown out by Government Troops. Socialist Dictators were too cheap to dig graves using any available ditch or gully to hold the bodies. If we don't teach the Truth, our kids will believe the Lie and someday be standing there waiting for their own Socialist Bullet.

       We certainly did not learn anything before our latest mid-term elections. We elected some of the most scatterbrained idiots I have ever seen, not to mention retreading Nancy Pelosi and putting the Old Gal in charge of Congressional Confusion. We also foolishly voted for openly Jihadist Muslims and let them be sworn in on a Koran instead of a Bible. When you swear your allegiance to a Pagan god like allah, you don't have any allegiance left for the Constitution. It is Utter Confusion, and as I often remind my readers, Satan is always the Author of all Confusion.

       We have to Teach our kids Civics and History, (World History and American History). It is just as important as English and Math. We have work to do even in English and Math. Common Core has been a disaster, many of our kids can't read cursive, and we have to reestablish English as our official language; but it is imperative that we reeducate our population in regards to Civics and History. We have to do better in Education in general. We are failing to educate our children. One Fact that must begin all Social Science classes is that Socialism has never worked in any country where it has been tried, not ever. Not anywhere.

       

Rapture is Near

      I genuinely believe the Rapture is very near. Oh, I don't know the exact hour or the day, but I know it is time to watch for Christ's Second Coming. The unfortunate reality is that many Church's will go on with regular services and have less than 3-4 members who were taken up. They won't even be missed. The Preacher will Preach his regular Sermon, the Music Minister will sing his usual songs including "Oh how I Love Jesus", and there will be the usual potato salad and green bean casseroles at the afternoon Fellowship. But they will have missed the Rapture. Left Behind.
      Jesus gave us warnings and signs of when these times were to be. He told us which generation would see the Rapture.
 Luke 21:29-32 (KJV) ²⁹  And he spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
³⁰  When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
³¹  So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
³²  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 
            The Fig tree is a symbol of the Nation of Israel becoming a Nation again in 1948. That generation is the Baby Boomer Generation of which I am a part. I was a first year Baby Boomer. And as a kid I loved to watch the evening news with Dad because there were tanks rolling across the Mideast. I had toy soldiers and tanks and there on the Evening News were conquering Israeli forces. There were no People known as Palestinian in those days, all the refugee camps were full of Egyptians, Syrians, Lebanese, and Jordanian. I saw it all happen. So I am, "that Generation". I am now 72, and I don't have a huge lifespan left on this earth. But I believe before fully 50% of the Baby Boomers are dead and gone, Jesus will Return for His Church.
      Jesus gave the Church another warning in the Parable of the Foolish Virgins. There were 5 Foolish Virgins and 5 who were Prepared with Oil (The Holy Spirit) in their Lamps (vessels). All were Virgins (or Church Members) but 5 had received the Holy Spirit and 5 had not. In a picture of today's Church, I see this as meaning that fully 50% of the established membership of the world's Churches are simply playing Church and have never truly been Saved. You can Preach, lead singing, or lead a Sunday School Class and have never received the Holy Spirit. You can know a lot of Bible Stories about Jesus and yet never Know Him as your Personal Savior.
      Are you a Foolish Church member? Are you good at Playing Church on Sunday? Or is the Holy Spirit fully indwelling your Soul? You had better decide, if you don't want to be Left Behind, He is coming soon. 

My Mother

Mary Ethel Orene Burgess Clifford came from Southern Illinois, to Gainesville, AR in a covered wagon with her Mother Florence Higdon Burgess and her Father James Oscar Burgess along with Brothers Gilbert and Gene, Sisters Frankie, Carrie, and Rena. Her Grandfather James had migrated from Ireland in 1860. He got off a ship in New York, (age 17 or 18) and having no source of income, walked across the street to a Union Recruiting booth and joined the Union Army as a water boy. Somewhere along the way he became familiar with the Navy and after the war found himself Captain and half owner of a Riverboat. His partner was a Riverboat Gambler. They sold the boat and built the first brick building in Greenville, MS. It was a hotel and a bar on the first floor with a house of ill repute on the second floor. The Gambler owed a debt of $5,000.00 and booked passage up North to pay off the debt, never returning.

I don’t know a lot about how James Jr. was born, but at some point, his father took him or at least left him in Southern Illinois with a woman and her daughter. The woman treated James well but the daughter was a tyrant, often beating James with a stick of firewood.

James was told by his father that on the event of his death James should come to Greenville and remove a stone from the fireplace where money or inheritance would be found. James did travel there on word of the death of his father. But when the Lawyers let him in the house, someone had already removed all the contents behind the stone, leaving James a long, hungry journey by foot back to Gainesville, AR.
Mary married Thomas Jewel (T.J. or Tom) Clifford. Their primary residence was a Duplex 2 storied house at 901 Rector Rd, built by Toms Mother Bertha B. Good Clifford. Bertha sold a pair of mules for the lumber to build the house. She then borrowed the mules to haul the lumber to the house site; paying two men to rough frame the house which she then finished roof and all. Tom, a Plumber/Master Pipefitter, his wife Mary and their son Jerry lived in one side of the duplex and Tom’s sister Zula Loften with sons Joe (Sonny) and Richard Loften in the other side. In time, Tom and Mary bought the other half of the duplex from the Loften’ s.
After the end of WWII Tom and Mary had a Baby Boom son named Larry, and two years later a daughter Nancy. Jerry had joined the Navy just after the Korean War ended and was quite surprised his parents started a second family.
Mary took a trip to Flint, Michigan to visit family working up there and her Mother’s Sister Rose. She came back to Paragould a day or two early and found Tom building a fishing boat in her kitchen. Piles of sawdust and debris greeted her. She of course threw a fit and told Tom if he could build a boat in the kitchen at least she could get a flour bin and nice cabinets built. She did that very week.

Mary was well known for her cooking and baking. As members of North End Mission, later Calvary Baptist Church, Mary always kept her table open for several different Pastors, Evangelists, Music Ministers and of course family. Guests would literally pass out after their Sunday meals and take naps much of the afternoons in the Clifford living room. There was a couch and chair, a recliner, a chase lounge, a rocking chair and of course a carpeted living room floor, and in the summer a hammock and porch swing out back. After naps, there were always plenty of leftovers before heading back to Church for the Evening Services.
Even as a kid I was amazed at the amount and variety of foods my Mom could produce in that little Kitchen. Before Daylight on Sunday Mom would start browning fried chicken. She’d have to break off cooking and drive our family car to pick up about a dozen or so ladies for Church, (Bertha Lloyd, Hattie Tucker, Shirley Latham, and many I can’t remember). The Church didn’t have a Church Bus so Mom supplied that service. She’d have to make two trips before Church, two trips after Church and then run home to finish getting the meal on the table. Sunday meals were a major operation. It took a 3-quart pressure cooker filled with potatoes to make enough mashed potatoes for the throng. There would be corn, green beans, and often sweet potatoes, rolls, at least two skillets of fried chicken, and white milk gravy. There was a little kids table, a breakfast bar, and the large dining room table. Even then some people had to take a plate to the living room. Many times, Mom would feed 25 people on Sunday.
Mom was famous in the neighborhood for all sorts of pies and cakes. There was always a plate of fried pies on the breakfast bar, along with leftover bacon, sausage, biscuits and white gravy from breakfast. As a boy I could walk by any time of the day and grab a snack. She made every kind of treat, cupcakes, cookies including vanilla and chocolate swirls, chocolate chip, sugar, and oatmeal, and even huge 4-5-inch cream puffs. Mom always kept wax paper rolls of cookie dough ready to slice off and bake in the refrigerator.
One of the families who were regular guests was the Tommy McDaniel Family with their son Gene McDaniel and his sister. Tommy was Music Minister at Calvary for quite some time. Mom always had a Folger’s Coffee Can filled with Sugar Cookies for Gene and one with Chocolate Chip Cookies for his sister.

Mary Clifford has been gone for many years now, but many people still remember her name from the 30 years she worked in the Church Nursery.

Tucker Carlson is One Confused Puppy

      Tucker Carlson's recent Anti-Capitalist Rant has ruined my Opinion of him. I use to like him. Not any more. He is confused, and Satan is always the Author of Confusion.
      His Problem I believe is his personal definition of Elites. He fails to see there are Two entirely different Categories of Elites. There are Capitalist Elites upon whom America depends for Jobs, Job and Wage Growth, and Economic Advancement. And then there are Hollywood and/or Sports Elites, who don't contribute anything except playing a Role or Playing a Game. On the First we Americans depend for our daily and yearly welfare and wellbeing. From the latter we get only meaningless opinions on Social Media. 

      Hollywood and Sports Elites don't influence our Bank Accounts or Tax Returns but they sure do influence our behaviors, good and bad, but for the most part toward a Negative Result, (transgender Public Restrooms, legalizing Pot and other Drugs, homosexual perversion, rioting on the streets, anti-Church/Anti-Christian/Anti-Bible and Anti-Marriage prejudices). These are the type of things that harm and devalue our Western Society. 

       Clearly Capitalism is the Lifeblood of any thriving Economy and Socialism is the Enemy of Economic Prosperity. To attack Capitalism is to attack our livelihood, our Economic Health, our entire Future as a Nation. Any call for Socialism is a call for the Death of America. There is no room for Confusion, to be confused is to close your eyes to the Death of our Republic.
     I feel Sorry for Tucker. He was a good host. He was entertaining and thought provoking. Somewhere he got off the Rail. He lost his way. He got stuck in Muddy Anti-Capitalism and became Confused. He forgot what Built America in the first place.

Facts about a Wall

      Here is a List of Facts about a Wall to keep the bad guys out:

1. A Wall by any other Name is still a Wall. Government Agencies say we need a wall we can see through to access the threat that may be approaching, so steel slats fit that scenario.
2. Walls work and they do so without pay.
3. Walls don't go to sleep on duty, they don't get drunk on duty, or get distracted by a sports broadcast or a magazine. They work day or night, in all kinds of weather, even on Holidays.
4. Famous People swear by Walls. If you don't believe it here is a partial list: Barack Hussein Obama has a wall around his new home in Washington, Nancy Pelosi has a Wall, the Vatican has a Wall, Chinese Emperors built a wall across half a continent and it has lasted for centuries with little upkeep. Even Heaven has a Wall. Revelation 21:12 (KJV)

5. Walls don't go off line or quit working when the power goes out. Sensors are great but they fail at times.

What;s Going on in the Stock Market

According to Reuters, this holiday shopping season has been the best in 6 years due to a robust economy. There is nothing at all wrong with the Stock Market. While it is a fact that this has been the biggest Christmas selloff since the 30's Depression, it has nothing to do, or at least very much, with tariffs, or China Trade, or certainly not Trump's Tweets. No, the two main reasons for the Stock Market dropping, are first of all; Computerized Algorithms based on the needs of Fearmongering Traders. These Algorithms are designed to make sure greedy traders never lose a penny and that all loses fall on every day Stock Holders and not on themselves. As soon as there is any bad news, any whatsoever, regarding the Stock Market these programs are designed to sell off quick at the first hint of trouble. The Programs themselves are the Trouble. They start a Landslide, Snowballing, Multi-day selloff when a simple correction is all that is called for. The Second Problem is the Fed overcorrecting and selling off assets from their own ledger. The Chairman could have avoided a selloff by a few carefully chosen words in his last report, but he chose not to. He chose instead not to say a word and let the Stock Market react negatively. He wanted to hurt Trump; to make him look bad; to get even for Trump Tweets he didn't like. Yes, Fat Cats are Always Greedy, the Fed is Greedy, big time Traders are Always Greedy. Artificial Intelligence, (eg. Algorithms), is never intelligent enough to do the right thing. Cold and Callous, all Computers know to do is make money for their owners, Damn the Stock Market, and innocent 401K Owners. Grab the Cash before someone else does. So quit listening to the Nay Sayers and the Leftist Media, (but then that's the same thing isn't it?). Nothing here is Trump's fault. That may be the way the Media and the DNC want to Twist it but Trump is doing a completely marvelous job. The only ones Squawking are the Swamp Creatures going down the Drain, and the Media who need Swamp Creature drama because they can't write a True Story and make it interesting. We all had a Wonderful Christmas because Trump has put our money back in our own pockets. Trump even thought enough of our Troops to make a Midnight Run to Iraq and visit them to build Moral. The Stock Market will Rebound, in fact it is doing so as I write this. America is in Good Hands. We Elected a Champion. Happy New Year!

Good Guys on the Battlefront

      Do you consider yourself a Good Guy? Me too! There are two related Battlefronts in America that we Good Guys maintain. One is Political. We occupy the ranks of the Patriotic Conservative. Our Enemy is every mind, and every thought, on the Left no matter how slightly left that might be. Fundamental Conservativism is the only way to protect our Country, our Morals, our Virtues. Everything else is tainted with Liberalism. Saying you are a Moderate is saying you will accept being infected and corrupted by Partial Liberalism. All Virtue: Capitalism, Our Constitution, Religious Freedom, Justice, in fact everything we value depends on a firm foundation of Conservatism. Without it Truth, Liberty, and Freedom are lost and meaningless.

       The Second Battlefront is Christianity, Believers are an Army. The only way any Person will ever see Heaven is through Jesus Christ. No Buddhist, or Muslim, or Hindu will find Heaven. Christ is the only Way, the only Door. Jesus is the Gate Keeper. Even our Catholic Friends are in Danger. So many Catholics have never been taught that they need a Personal Relationship with the Savior. They don't know they must be Born Again. Catholic Rituals, Relics, and Prayer Beads mean nothing. Priests can't forgive Sin. Only the Blood of Christ can accomplish that. Cults like Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and others are also in Harm's Way. We are Commanded to carry the Gospel to every creature.

      It is a Solemn Charge we have been given. The Souls of Millions of sinners are in our hands. Those we do not reach will spend their eternities in Hell with Satan and his Demons. Many will look into our face, as they are cast into Hell, and say, "Why did you not tell me about Jesus?" Who is it you should be telling?
      Again, everything Left of Center is the Enemy no matter how slightly to the Left; and everything short of Pure Righteousness is Sin no matter how slight the Sin might seem it is still Sin. That is Satan's oldest ploy. Saying, "surely God didn't mean that." Well, God meant it. Sin is Sin, black is black, dark is dark, and only Light is Light.
      Christians cannot accept Sin in any form. They can't Vote for it in a Democrat Ballot, they can't vote for people who support it, they can't do it hypocritically on Tuesday and act differently on Sunday. The same on the Political Front. Patriots can't support anything Left of Center. No Lotteries (taxes on the poor and unknowing), Minimum Wages (again taxes on the poor and uninformed) Abortion (Premeditated Murder of Unborn Souls) Legalization of Drugs (Again this is a tax on the poor and uneducated. Drugs and Alcohol always hurt the weak.) and the Left's pet Sin, it seems, Sexual Perversion. God Created only two sexes, man and woman. God created Marriage between one man and one woman. God had it right but Satan and the Left are still trying to find a loophole.
       Does it begin to seem as if the two Battlefronts are one and the same. Yes they are. Satan is the foe and the Commander on both fronts. He invented Sin and he invented Communism, Fascism, Socialism, Progressivism, the Democrat Party, Antifa, Occupy, Resist, and the Nazi Party. They are pretty much all the same thing. Pushing Drugs, Pushing Sin, and Pushing Socialism are all pretty much equals for Satan. They all work to destroy everything good and Righteous.
      When you Vote, and you must Vote; every Vote must be based on your very best interpretation of the Bible and God's Will. Every person you Vote for MUST be a Christian, a Patriot, a Conservative and Trustworthy. That last trait is tricky. Legislators and other Elected Officials have power as they legislate. They are subject to Lobbying and bribes. Term Limits are needed to cut down on the temptation to accept bribes.
      So are you a Good Guy. Act like it. Vote like it. Stand Up Patriot. Stand in the Gap. Make a difference.

Privileged Kid

      For a Pipefitter's Kid from a small town in Arkansas, I was a very privileged kid. We had the very first TV in the North End of Paragould. Since Dad was a plumber we had the first indoor toilet too, and Oil Heat which was a lot easier than splitting firewood. Mom had a brand new Electrolux, a G.E. Electric Range, and kitchen cabinets with a tilt down Flour Bin, and she made good use of it. She was the best cook and baker ever. We had the Preacher and visiting Evangelists over every Sunday and cranked Ice Cream Sunday Afternoon all Summer.
      I remember when Dad and his friends put up our 80 foot TV antenna. It took about 6 strong men on guy wires to hoist the steel pole which Dad made of pipe. We got our TV, a cabinet model, in spring of 1950. Speck Rhoades was playing as the delivery man hooked up the new antenna wire. He was impressed with the quality of the picture, no messing with rabbit ears. I was just impressed. Speck Rhoades and Bill Killebrew right in our living room. Later that year I saw Bill Killebrew visit Gene Stimpson's Grocery Store on the corner of Highland and Pruett. He was just about the biggest Star in Memphis at that time. 

      Dad's Friends, Tuff Baker, Roy Boggs, and Ed Stanton, would come over with their wives every Friday Night and watch the Friday Night Fights. Mom and the other wives would talk in the kitchen and watch my little sister Nancy or play Pinochle. I watched the early rounds with the men before they put me in bed, then I'd sneak out and crawl into the hall and watch the later rounds from behind the door way. Wrestling was better received and on a more equal footing in those days with boxing. I really enjoyed a wrestler named Gorgeous George, he had long curly hair and threw golden bobby pins out to the crowd.
      I enjoyed everything on TV including the News. That summer I watched every morning as the Indian in Headdress test screen went off and programming came on. Channel 5 had the Today Show with Dave Garroway host, Frank Blair news anchor, Jack Lescoulie sports, and J. Fred Muggs the chimpanzee Co Host. Later in the morning I usually switched to Radio Variety Shows. I liked Arthur Godfrey, Jack Benny, Lonesome George Goble, and Garry Moore.
      There was also some great music on the Radio in those days. I liked Hey Good Lookin by Hank Williams when mom wasn't listening. She liked stuff like How Much is that Doggie in the Window, Mocking Bird Hill, and Tennessee Ernie Ford.
      When the Evening News came on I was watching again. I saw the refugee camps filling up in the Middle East and the Tanks rolling by. It worried me back then and homeless people pushed into tent cities or living under a piece of roofing tin still bothers me. But one thing related to today's issues I remember is that there were no Palestinians. They were never called that. I actually watched as the Refugees came from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. They were simply called Arabs. I wondered why other Arabs would force them out of their own Country where they wanted to live with their brother Arabs? Still doesn't make sense to me. But my research has shown me there was never a Country named Palestine which is a Roman misspelling of Philistine. Philistines were Greek and they are all gone now, centuries ago. 

      One of my favorite late afternoon TV shows (as a little kid) was Winky Dink and the Adventures of Mighty Manfred. They sold a plastic sheet that stuck on the TV Screen, you trimmed it with scissors to fit your particular screen. The basic screen came with 4 big crayons yellow, red, blue, and green. You could then draw on the plastic screen cover. When Winky Dink or Mighty Manfred got in trouble and needed a bridge for instance, you could draw in a big yellow bridge and they were safe. If you left the plastic on the screen it also made the grass look green. (no color TV in those days) Of course so did the sky and the clouds and Perry Mason, but…… Well you just had to use your imagination a little. 

      We all watched TV together in the Evenings. Families spent time together in those days and it was easier with only one TV and 3 channels. I watched the Evening News again and the Tanks were still rolling. I was glad I lived in America. Sometimes I'd sneak in after bedtime, turn the sound down and watch a movie or the Late Show. Then the Test Screen came on again with the same Indian in headdress. I'd watch that a few minutes and sneak back into bed. I was an adventurous sort. Goodnight.

A Little Golden Wire in Our Constitution

      Our Constitution is a Complicated Document. It is not just a bunch of words. It contains all the Dreams, Hopes, and Aspirations of not only Our Founding Fathers who wrote it, but also the Dreams of those who lost their lives fighting for it in the Revolution. It Contains Biblical Principles and Precepts, and most importantly it was Guided by God in His Answer to the Prayers of the Founders. Do you know the Story? It isn't taught in School anymore.

      The Constitutional Convention was in turmoil. Hour after hour had gone by and not one Word or Idea had been written down. Founders were grumpy, arguing, discouraged, about to give up. Ben Franklin knew they were trying to do it all without God's Blessing. He asked for Prayer. Sincerely the Founders did so, and the Constitution began to roll off the pens of the Delegates. Don't ever let any atheist rogue tell you God was not in the U.S. Constitution.

      But there is also a little Golden Wire Called Freedom, Liberty and Justice for All, that runs from one Paragraph to the others in the Constitution, a Golden Thread if you will. It runs not only from Precept to Precept, but it reaches out to the Hearts of the Founders themselves, and it is linked to every Patriot, Living and Dead; It is Linked to you if you Love America. You can't see it, but it is there. Gold you see is our best conductor of Energy used for Communication. Each tiny wire Links People in Atlanta to those in Florida, Texas, Minnesota, Alaska, and Even New York and California, as hard as many Liberals there are trying to escape it's reach, but the Constitution, Like the Bible, is a Living Document, it cries out.

      That Link is Patriotism, it is Love of Country and Flag, it is Pride in our Great Country. It leads to the vestiges of common sense and Bipartisanism. These ideas are not dead but they are sure hard to find within Liberals in today's Political Climate. Democrats, Socialists, Antifa, most Muslims, (also a Political Party not a religion), and all Communists hate Our Constitution, they are Vowing to Resist it at every turn. Make no mistake that is what they are doing when they Resist and Protest Donald J. Trump.

      President Trump has done something Wonderful for our Constitution, not just supporting it, which he does; but more he has Appointed Brett Kavanaugh, an Originalist, for the Supreme Court. As an Originalist Kavanaugh supports not only the entire Constitution, but the Original Intent of the Founders who Wrote it. This is Exactly what all Justices should strive to do with every Fiber of their Being. Our Supreme Court was in Danger from Liberal Justices foolishly Appointed by previous administrations. Our Constitution is a Conservative Document, Fiscally, Prospectively, and Morally. Liberals don't even understand it, and certainly don't Respect it. Kavanaugh is an Answer to many Prayers as we get our Country back to its Founding Principles. Thank God our President has appointed such a Superior Candidate.

      If you have a Midterm Election coming up, go Vote, Support the Candidates that best support Trump. True Christians can never vote a Democrat Ticket in good Conscience. Killing Babies, Homosexual Perversion, and Resisting God and the Constitution are not Options for Christians. Ever. We are in a Battle to Preserve our Country. Do your part and Vote Conservatively and Vote the Bible.

       I have been asked by many people around the Country if I would write a definition of Socialism, its inherent evils and the effects it would have upon us as individuals. The following is my attempt at answering that request.  For certain, it would be a death blow to capitalism as well as to the God-given freedoms which we have enjoyed for so long in the United States.

       Our country’s economic system is called capitalism. It is based upon private ownership of property, which includes the means of production for the creation of goods or services for income and profit by individuals. It is a free market economic system based on the recognition of individual rights to own property (lands, businesses, goods, etc.).  Such rights give individuals security and a means to control their own affairs, thus their own destiny. Under capitalism, private citizens, with their ownership of property, are responsible for the production and distribution of goods. 

       Whereas, Socialism is government ownership of property and control of production and distribution. The essential characteristic of Socialism is the denial of individual property rights. Individuals have no control over their own affairs and destiny. Almost every aspect of living will be regulated by the government.

       It has been said, "Socialism is the doctrine that man has no right to exist for his own sake, that his life and his work do not belong to him, but belong to society, that the only justification of his existence is his service to society, and that society may dispose of him in any way it pleases for the sake of whatever it deems to be its own tribal, or collective good."

       I do not believe the majority of the American people would knowingly or willingly adopt Socialism, once understood, even though a poll conducted this week showed 57% of the Democrats polled would. It has been seeping in, little by little, over the past one hundred years pushed by the Democrat Party's progressives and liberals.  If we aren’t careful, every fragment of a socialist state will be adopted a little slice at a time, until one day America will be a full-blown socialist nation, without realizing how it happened.

       Karl Marx, the nineteenth century German socialist revolutionary, taught that “Democracy is the road to Socialism” and preached that “Socialism represents the stage following Capitalism in a country transforming to Communism.” The platforms of Liberals, Progressives and Socialists such as Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and other Democrat Party leaders are drawn from either Communism, Marxism or Fascism. They are all varying degrees of Socialism known as totalitarian concepts, differing in degrees only. There is not one example of a Socialist country, past or present, ever producing the level of prosperity and happiness for the people which our Capitalist system of private enterprise, individual ownership of property, has accomplished. If there were, people would not be cutting fences, climbing walls, swimming rivers or loading onto boats to escape those countries to get into the United States.

       The Representative Republic of the United States with our Capitalist and Free Enterprise Market System has been the world’s dominant economic system for over two hundred years. Within it, the means of production of goods and the distribution of those goods are owned by individuals. Since America’s beginnings, the freedom of private ownership and free enterprise with its spirit of competition, have led to the abundance of food and products, more efficiency, lower prices, better products and rising prosperity. The production of food and materials and private individual prosperity has never been – can never be – equaled by any socialist country.

       The people of almost every country on the continent of Africa are starving to death. Daily, we are shown the fly blown faces of these starving people. Venezuela is in total chaos with hungry people rioting in the streets. Every one of those countries have Socialist governments of some form. Every country on the continent of Europe is today experiencing the results of the evils of their respective degrees of Socialism with extremely high taxes. Despite tax rates of 75% and more Socialist countries all over the world are without enough food and goods to support the people. The Democrat Party, now becoming a strong proponent of Socialism, is wanting to lead our Country toward that same end.

       How would Socialism affect YOU as an individual? By necessity, tax rates in America will reach upward of 90%, and our way of life will be exactly like that in Europe, Africa, Central America, Asia, Russia and elsewhere. Socialized health care will mandate who your doctor will be, even whether or not you are a candidate for treatment of an illness. It will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to buy a new home, land, a car, or reap the benefits of your own labor.  Birth control will be mandated, private ownership of property will be denied, starting and maintaining a business impossible. Even the small things in our everyday lives such as the kind of windows you may put in your house and the type of light bulbs you may buy.  The list of evils of Socialism is a long one. We hear a great deal from the proponents of Socialism about the sharing of wealth.  Be warned – Socialism is nothing more than the sharing of misery.

       The preachers of Socialism use the plight of the poor, the disenfranchised and the jobless with their promises to equalize income, share the wealth, level the economic playing field, take from those who have and give to those who have not, every thing will be free. The concept that with hard work and perseverance anybody can get ahead economically in the United States will be destroyed. Again, misery will be shared by all.

       Most Americans think this could not happen here. I used to think that … until I realized differently.  Not only can it happen here, IT WILL happen here if we allow the Socialist Democrat Party to gain control of our government. In the primaries now going on and the general election on November 6, this year we are being given the opportunity to choose our destiny. The choices are clear, the bondage of one world Socialism and its miseries or America first with the individual freedom of Capitalism and its prosperity.

       The Democrat Party being lead by Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Cortez, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren and others are committed to destroying capitalism, that which has made America great, and replacing it with Socialism. Their giant first step will be to destroy President Trump because he looms large in their path with his dedication to America First Capitalism and Constitutional mind set. Today, the Democrat Party stands on the rocket launching pad for a Socialist States of America and a farewell to the Constitutional Republic of The United States of America. The date for launching is set for November 6, 2018. The American people who love freedom and responsibility can cause it to fizzle or watch as it soar in flight. No one will be exempt from the evils and misery of Socialism, not you, not your children, not your grandchildren.

       We, that would be you and me, have got to fight what is happening.  We cannot sit this one out.  We cannot rely on someone else doing it for us.  We have a duty and an obligation to protect, defend and preserve our Country, our freedom, our way of life. We don’t have a lot of time. IF we lose, that loss will come at an unthinkable cost to every American.

The price of freedom has always come with a hefty price tag. Not a single American soldier has ever died in defense of Socialism.
